One of Newcastle’s top chefs, Bob Arora, owner of Sachins Indian restaurant, has been providing viewers with live demonstrations on how to make some of the favourite dishes from his restaurant, through live Facebook and Instagram videos.
Due to the unprecedented demand from his loyal customer, Bob has announced that he’ll be re-opening his takeaway service.
From Chicken Tikka Masala, to his parent’s ‘secret’ recipes that diners love at Sachins and even tips on how to make the perfect rice, Bob has inspired many to get in the kitchen whilst staying home.
The demonstrations, which are filmed in Bob’s home kitchen, have proved immensely popular, with hundreds of people sharing their pictures of their recreations of the dishes.
Going live once a week, Bob brings a new recipe to viewers, who eagerly-wait for him to share his latest tips, and many of which, cook along live with him.
After closing the restaurant due to Government guidelines, Bob wanted to ensure his loyal customers could still enjoy some Sachins at home, safely.
Now, the head chef has announced that he will be reintroducing his takeaway service alongside his weekly demonstrations.
The takeaway service commenced in May and have continued successfully ever since. It enables customers to enjoy Sachins at home, cooked by Bob himself. The menus are all put on their social media channels as well as their website for diners to peruse.
Following strict guidelines, health and safety will be paramount in his operation and everything will be contactless, respecting social distancing guidelines.
Bob said;
“I’m so thrilled to see everyone getting involved with the demos, and so many people have taken the time to give the recipes a go and send in their pictures.
“I’ve had lots of people telling me it’s the highlight of their week in lockdown, and people from all over the world are getting involved. It’s extremely humbling at a time like this.
“We decided to bring back our Sachins @ Home takeaway service due to the popular demand. We will be following a strict health and safety policy and will never compromise our customer’s health.”
Sachins at home is providing chilled meals from a set menu that can be safely reheated at home, in a similar style to their products they provide to Fenwick.
Bob has promised though, that his videos, which take place every Wednesday afternoon, will continue, and there’s no need to worry if you miss the live video, as the demonstrations are posted to the page for your enjoyment.
